Here is my tribute to the fallen 44 SAF members (Special Action Force (SAF) of the Philippine National Police (PNP)) who died during the Mamasapano Clash last January 25, 2015, Saturday at Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao. They fought with the  Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Their mission was called "Oplan Wolverine" with the prime objective of capturing/killing and getting a DNA sample of the terrorist named Marwan that evenually led to the death of 44 PNP members (and 16 members of the MILF-BIFF and 1 civilian farmer). The incident is an ongoing hot issue not only in the Philippines but also internationally, for it now threatens the passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law  thereby affecting the "peace talks" between the two.

With all the fuss, news and media/social media releases of the overkilling and massacre of these 44 SAF members  (including photos and videos uploaded in you tube by the MILF-BIFF themselves) and the speeches given by the President Noynoy Aquino, this poem is the least I can do for these new fallen heroes aside from praying for the eternal repose of their souls and for their grieving families.
