I've been meaning to post this since February, right after I tasted the first time the Tiramisu cake from Mary Grace Cafe but due to my crappy internet connection and busted laptop I wasn't able to. Thanks to too much enthusiasm at this very hour the reason why I am using my phone to finally publish my tiramisu experience. Without further ado, here are my coins on Mary Grace's Tiramisu.
It was last February 11 when I had this strong craving for Red Ribbon's Tiramisu Meltdown. I really wanted a tiramisu cake for my daughter's 4th monthsary but unfortunately the Red Ribbon Pedro Gil branch which is just one jeepney ride and 15 minutes travel away from our house was under renovation. I had no choice but have my way to Robinson's Ermita. When I got there, I headed directly to Red Ribbon unluckily the tiramisu that I was lusting for was sold out. I then decided to do restaurants and food establishments hopping to look for a cake that would appeal to me. I ended up in the third floor midtown wing where the Mary Grace Store is located.
I was glad that they have a tiramisu cake but for me it was too pricey so I opted to buy a regular sized mocha cake from another bakeshop inside the mall that happened to be located on another wing. When I finally have the mocha cake and was about to step out of the establishment per se, my brain pictured in my subconscious the tiramisu cake I saw so instead of leaving the mall I went back two floors up to the opposite wing and went to Mary Grace Cafe.
Here's my verdict:
Price: 120 php for a slice [Whole: (mini) 280php / (regular) 730]
Measurement: around 2 inches x 2.5 inches by 2 inches
Coupled with a very homey ambiance of Cafe Mary Grace, their tiramisu is a real must-pick on their menu of cakes. True coffee lovers will really love this tiramisu as the coffee taste is more pronounced as resulted by the bigger layers of sponge cake than the cream cheese. Since there is more punch of coffee than sweetness, a sweet cafe latte or cafe mocha to complete a better profile.
I will surely go back to Cafe Mary Grace, not just because I think that it is reasonably priced, but also because its perfect for my coffee madness indulgent.
